By all accounts the Lions O-line was opening holes for Kevin Smith and the running backs and providing protection for the QB. That’s a huge step forward from last season’s leaky bucket approach to pass-protection.

Perhaps the shaky performance in last week’s loss to Atlanta put some doubt in the coach’s mind, but by all accounts Stafford has looked impressive in training and needs only to show that he can translate that to Gameday to seize the starting spot.

Now I can only imagine how much a nine (9) foot Red-tail Boa Constricter actually weighs. Still less do I know what it’s like to drive with one around my neck.

Yes. This is more like it. I’m finally getting a sense of what it’s like to be a fan of the Lions after sitting up to listen to last night’s pre-season mashup with the Cleveland Browns.

First round draft pick, QB Matt Stafford, has still the be named as the Detroit Lions starting quarterback for the 2009 season. Indications are that the no decision will be made until after the third preseason game.

Even though I don’t expect to see the Lions on Sky much during the regular season I couldn’t run to the extra cash for a video pass; should be able to catch the highlights on NFL Total Access, I hope though.
