Cobb – a debut to dream on

Packers rookie, Randall Cobb, just might come down to earth some time soon, but not for a while, not after a debut in which he bagged two touchdowns, the first a 32-yard reception from Aaron Rodgers to put the Packers 21-7 up and the second an NFL record-equalling 108-yard kickoff return.

Listed as a QB and WR at the University of Kentucky, Cobb (21 yo), a native of Maryville (TN), was the Packers second-round draft pick (64th overall) despite being labelled a ‘tweener by scouts who doubted his size to be a running back and speed to be a receiver in the NFL.

After some impressive pre-season performances Cobb had Packers fans hopeful though … and the rookie stepped-up to the plate and delivered in style.

Scat-back or not the guy is a star tonight.
