Reports from South Carolina state that Chicago Bears defensive end, Gaines Adams, was taken to hospital at 9am this morning where he was pronounced dead.
Adams was taken to the Emergency Room at Self Regional in his home town of Greenwood, South Carolina. Whilst no official cause of death has yet been given, early reports indicate a possible heart attack as the cause.
Adams, 6′5” and 258 pounds was drafted by Tampa Bay out of Clemson with the 4th overall pick in 2007, but was traded to the Bears in 2009.
