I’m looking forward to the Lions-Redskins game this afternoon. After last week’s loss to the Vikings I feel confident the Lions can continue their improvement and actually have a chance of winning this week.

The Redskins are far from the force they were when I first started to watch the NFL and no one on the current roster has the stature of a Joe Thiesman or John Riggins. It’s great chance to break this eighteen game losing streak.

The Lions’ running game looked impressive at times last Sunday and had Matt Stafford not turned the ball over in the closing stages of the second quarter it’s likely the Lions would have been 10-0 to the good at the break and possibly they could have gone on to win that one.

Nonetheless Stafford continues to learn, learning not to toss the big interception soon would be kind of helpful though, Matt. Let’s take that on-board huh?
