And he takes me to the laughing place
The tickling giggling place
The head patting ear scratching place
The gate place where we wait place

We go past the smelling places
The marking and the barking places
He tugs and I tug we’re going places
Walking to the littlers’ places

Here they come the laughing things
The tickling running shouting things
Rushing out to the bigger things
Some stop to be the petting things

And its tail-wagging joy time
Back-scratching tummy-rubbing time
Rolling round and grubbing time
Leaping and licking time

Soon we’ll take our littlers to the home-place
Past all those smell marker-places
Away from all the rushing things
And it’s paw-resting nap time
